General appearance: The Caracat looks like a large Abyssinian with lynx tips. Muscular, he is a powerful and athletic cat.
Coat and color: The classic Caracat is a wild color, which is similar to the color of a Caracal or an ruddy Abyssinian. However, other colors accepted for Abyssinian, blue as an example, are also accepted. Phantom marks on the legs and belly are allowed and even desirable. It should be noted that the Caracat being a breed in development, its standard is not currently definitively fixed.
Head and eyes: The ear tuffs that the Caracat wears on its ears are characteristic and give it a family resemblance with its ancestor the Caracal. The outer surface of the ears should ideally be black. The color of the eyes must be in harmony with that of the coat. A black contrast in the face is desired.
